So, there's this little rumor going around that a bunch of the online superhero comics are getting together for a little throw-down. Well, those rumors are true! This crossover has been playfully dubbed "The Crisis Crossover", although that's obviously not the final name. It's the name that's been chosen for lack of a better name.

ANYWAY... The idea that I had was that this is actually going to fit canonically into the Dasien storyline, so to make things interesting, I designed a new Das suit! Actually, this is a design that I've had kicking around for a while now, and this particular version of the suit happens to be in the prototype stage. That is, it becomes more badass looking when Dasien phase 2 begins, which is the post-Crimson saga.

In fact, many of my online friends have already seen this particular drawing, and they should notice that it's been slightly modified. I've hidden all the little cool details that I have planned for the final version of the suit, because I'm a selfish bastard and I want the cool version to debut in an actual Dasien comic rather than a huge crossover.

Here are some more notes about this suit.:

-It's actually based on Gestalt technology. The suit was made from a sample of Red's suit.

-In addition to being "alive", the suit also has nanotech throughout its architecture, which also makes it a "smart suit".

-The smart suit stiffens itself to deflect bullets and other rapid moving objects, and then softens again after deflection.

-The suit's resistance to tearing is due to fiberous compound throughout it's cellular makeup, which is modified from spider silk.

-The suit is capable of gathering energy from the environment, particularly nutrients in the air. It's basically like a tree and requires no maintainance.

-The suit is quite capable of outlasting/outliving its wearer.

It's an all-around nice work. The anatomy is a little wonky and cartoony, but maybe you were trying to go for that look. I love the boots! Drawing big clunky boots is so much fun. :XD:

Interesting fact: Nerdy scientists somewhere have been tirelessly working on a compound that stiffens extremely quick as it absorbs kinetic energy. That is, if you handle it gently it's as flexible as putty, but shoot it with a bullet and it becomes harder than steel. Just relating an interesting thing I heard from a friend... the idea of Dai covered in putty is a smidge silly (though oddly alluring...)

Well... that's why it's science fiction. It doesn't necessarily have to be puddy. I am aware of just such a product in developement, which is what ultimately gave me the idea for THIS costume. However, this suit still (obviously) takes a lot of liberties and fudges a lot of details to ultimately meet the ends of giving her a suit that she can deploy relatively effortlessly.

So my scientific explanationi for this suit: It's advaaaaaanced!
